Here is my first attempt in making a cake with fondant. It's a German Chocolate Cake, with buttercream frosting/icing in between. I just used one of those packaged fondant and colored them blue, green, and yellow. Let me tell you.. this whole ordeal was soo labor intensive and a super huge cleanup. =P heh My gosh, I have so much respect for those people on Food Network - they make it look so easy!

Another Cake!
I'm on this cake-making spree right now. I've been watching soo much Food Network lately.. and I got inspired =) hehe On all of those cake shows.. Ace of Cakes.. Food Network Cake Challenge.. etc etc, they use fondant for all their cakes. It just looks so nice and clean. So, I decided that I would try it. =)

I'm bringing this to work tomorrow.. I hope it tastes ok. I'm not even sure how the fondant tastes like =P I didn't try it when I was decorating. Heh, oh well?

Your cake looks terrific. How did the fondant taste?
Thanks! =) The fondant actually tasted good. It wasn't too sweet.
