Salt Lake, Cupcakes, & Vegas!

Timmy flew in to Salt Lake on Wednesday night! =) We hung out in Salt Lake for a bit .. got some cupcakes at this hidden cupcake bakery called So Cupcake. I love cupcake bakeries - they're always so cute. And then we decided on Thursday evening to head out for Vegas the next day! I love random road trip decisions =)
We started out for Vegas early Friday morning. Loaded up the car with small luggages, water bottles, and treats for the drive. The drive is about 6 hours from Salt Lake. It's a gorgeous drive too. Oh quick thing, I was pretty burnt from my snowshoeing experience. It was actually pretty painful, to be honest. I'm healed now but I was definitely mid-healing-process last week and throughout these Vegas pictures. =P heh6 hours later, we were in Vegas! I took Timmy to a filipino grocery store/plaza. The plaza had Chow King and Jollibee... Filipino fast food chains. I lovvved Jollibee as a kid. Going to that plaza felt like we were in the Philippines. =)

We ate at Chow King though, hehe. I had him try Lomi, Siopao, Filipino-style Spaghetti, a Black Gulaman drink..

We walked around the strip. We ended up getting tickets to a Stomp Out Loud show. It was really cool. Those guys and girls are super ripped and talented.

We drove back to Salt Lake on Saturday, after losing some money at the casinos. Hah. We drove by Zions National Park and checked it out. It was really pretty and it was soo windy while we were there. Sights like these really make me appreciate the world. Cheesy, I know, but it's true.

Timmy left out for home today.. weekends with him go by so quickly, even extended weekends like this one.
